Mental Health Programs, Peak Behavioral Health
The team at Peak Behavioral Health Services offers several levels of care to meet the needs of our community for children, adolescents, adults, seniors and the military. These mental health programs are structured and designed to support those who are struggling with a mental health challenge in their lives. Discharge planning with family or caregiver involvement begins upon admission.
Our Full Continuum of Care includes:
Acute Care Program
The goal of our inpatient program is to provide short-term crisis stabilization for children, adolescents, adults and seniors. Dedicated specialty units offer supportive services in a safe and structured environment for those experiencing an acute crisis. Treatment is individualized and comprehensive.
Residential Treatment Program
We provide a safe, therapeutic environment for adolescent boys and girls, ages 12-18. Treatment is individualized for each resident, and we encourage parents/guardians to participate actively in their child’s treatment. Each PRTF unit has its own therapist, and residents are seen regularly by licensed psychiatrists. To ensure resident safety and to promote the practice of new skills, each unit is staffed by licensed nurses and trained mental health technicians.
Mission Recovery Program
The Mission Recovery Program is designed for Active Duty Military and Veterans of all branches. This program is designed to address Combat-Stress Disorder, Dual Diagnosis and Chemical Dependency issues.
The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is designed for adolescents and adults who do not require the intensity of an acute-care setting, but have impairment in their daily lives. Clients attend PHP five days per week. They return home in the evening and attend treatment at our facility during the day. The program provides support and treatment for individuals facing emotional or mental difficulties and/or substance abuse problems.
Adolescent Partial Hospitalization
The Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program is an outpatient program designed to meet the needs of adolescents, ages 12-18, who are experiencing mental health and/or chemical dependency issues that impact their daily lives.
Adult Partial Hospitalization
The Adult Partial Hospitalization Program is an outpatient program specifically designed to help those adults who do not need the intensity of an acute-care setting, but are having difficulty functioning in their daily routine.
If you or a loved one suffers from any of the following, PHP may be the answer you are looking for:
- Mood Swings
- Loss-related grief
- Sleep deprivation
- Problems with alcohol or drugs
- Decrease in social interaction
- Marital difficulties
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
The Intensive Outpatient Program provides further stabilization in a therapeutic environment for adolescents and adults who do not require the structure of a full day program like our PHP. Patients attend IOP three days per week. This allows patients greater flexibility to manage other commitments with their families, school, work, or with other treatment professionals.
Adolescent Intensive Outpatient
Our Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program typically is a 3 day a week program, Monday, Wednesday and Friday 4:00 p.m. – 8:15 p.m. This allows the patient to continue to attend school while receiving treatment in the afternoon. Programming includes group therapy, individual therapy, recreational therapy and family therapy.
Adult Intensive Outpatient Program
The Adult Intensive Outpatient Program provides a therapeutic, structured environment while maintaining a work-life balance. Adults in this program meet three days per week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. While continuing to live at home, patients are able to gain extra support in their daily lives by working on their psychiatric and substance abuse concerns.
Our goal is to help children, adolescents, adults and seniors who are suffering from emotional and behavioral health problems. We help them to stabilize and improve their clinical status. We work closely with referral sources, families and community agencies to return them to their daily activities in their homes and work environment.
